Clothing: Mirror Of Society

Over the centuries has become the fashion-in particular women-greatly changed. But what exactly is fashion? Karl Lagerfeld has said that fashion is fashion, until it hangs out people to the neck. But who determines about the fashion and judges “in” and “out”? And why is clothing mirror of society?

Scientists illuminate again the clothes cult. Try to figure out how designers, fashion journalists and bloggers come to the latest trends. Notes received from trend scouts. They hold around the world looking for outstanding street styles. Their international observations they summarize in style guides and give them to fashion designers continue. So fashion is actually from the street.

CLOTHING: MIRROR OF SOCIETY-WHO WORE WHAT?

Earlier, it was apparently easier to dress appropriately. In the countryside one was wearing common work appropriate clothing. In the city there was more complex. Income and status influenced the style of dress. Long it was natural to show his wealth. So women were in the fifties to the jewel of their men. Preppy dress, pretty accessories and make-up belonged to the daily appearance. From the sixties the image is changed. The trends of the Fab Four, hippie fashion and eighties looked wild and hardly anyone could escape the maelstrom. The era of extreme fashion models began, culminating in the hype about super models in the 90s. There have never been in such a short time so many disparate styles that have been accepted by the masses. Highly customizable, yet uniform – which was more and more the creed of the fashion industry.

THE FASHION TODAY

Of course, now everything is no different and still is clothing mirror of society. Furthermore, every year there are at least four major collections and a lot of “must-haves” defined on CLOTHINGEXPRESS. But the dictation is not too strict. Fashion has not experienced such extreme upheavals, therefore everything is permitted. Flares with nerd slipovers, Twiggy Dresses with Leggings – nothing is really “out”. The demarcation blurred more and more. So there are many wealthy people who dress extremely casual. Students buy costumes or evening dresses in clothing discounters and work them into everyday wardrobe. The mirror of society is changing in a kaleidoscope.

Confident we can agree with the quote from Oscar Wilde: “Fashion is what one wears itself. is unfashionable what other people are wearing”
