Guide to Body Shape

The guide of morphologies to know her body type and what will be best in value. Never forget that the important it is to feel good!

Order if navigate among all the types of female body that nature could invent, fashion experts are generally six types of different silhouettes.

To find out what kind of shape you belong, just look in a mirror and note which parts of your body are the wider or thinner: your hips, your shoulders, your size?

Do not you’re exaggerating your forms: have a little Bennett does not change your body! We are talking of your frame and how you were made. If you naturally broad hips, nothing will you enter a small 34: the os, it’s not slimming down!

That’s why it’s important to accept. So here is my guide and my advice to the shape to which you belong / which you get closer the most.

Morphology in A (or “triangle”)

You’re tiny top (size small, thin chest and narrow shoulders), with a pool / thighs / rounder buttocks? You have a morphology in A!

What’s important to put this figure is going to be to focus on the top of your body, to give it volume, while remaining simple downstairs, to harmonize all.

Upstairs, you can…

  • Do not hesitate to put ups ruffles, pleats or ruffles, in short: everything that can bring the volume.
  • Consider the balloon sleeves and raglant as your alli sleeves are.
  • Swing the colors, patterns, prints! You can all afford at this level here.
  • Boost your cleavage: you love her v to neckline, or very diving, you can do what you want. Tube tops are also great friends!
  • Focus on jackets with epaulettes, in order to further increase the volume of your shoulders so it equilibrates with your hips.
  • All allow you to level matters.Fluid, textured, thick, choose those you prefer!
  • Do not hesitate to put big necklaces, and breastplates: they fit you very well.
  • Try to avoid the UPS too long / tunics, that will add volume to your hips.

Then, at the bottom, you can…

  • Focus on dark colors, and avoid white down (white is a colour that amplifies the volumes, unlike the black).
  • Prefer straight cuts for your pants (rather than pants “carrot” for example), and choose straight or pretty flared skirts/dresses. You can also avoid the added volumes (ruffles, pleats, side pockets)
  • Focus on fluid materials, and those that are not too puffy or too close to the body.
  • Avoid thick materials such as tweed or velvet, which will increase the volume. On the other hand, they will go well at the top!
  • Avoid belts on the hips, which attract the eye and thicken the silhouette.
  • Keep a low enough United keeping patterns for the top, and flee the horizontal stripes that amplify the volumes.

If you have a silhouette in A, or in ‘triangle’, know that your best friends will be dresses, and especially the dress empire, because it puts your shoulders don’t value and is right at the bottom, which shrink your hips.

Morphology in V (or “inverted triangle”)

You have pretty broad shoulders and/or a generous bosom, but hips and a cramped pool, and often little butt? You’re a ‘V ‘!

For you, it’s so unlike the previous figure: it is better to minimize the volume on the top of your body and accentuate on the bottom.

Upstairs, you can…

  • Not too much focus on your shoulders, try to avoid tube tops and tops with thin straps.
  • At the level of the necklines, focus on the boat necklines, square, v, or asymmetric necklines; avoid round, in heart, or too plunging necklines.
  • Unlike the A silhouette, it is better avoid wearing prints, bright colors, added volumes (pleats, Ruffles, textured materials) at the top: it’ll look better at the bottom!
  • Dark colors and monochrome tops will be your allies.
  • Tunics and high long them also will be your friends: they will bring volume to your hips out-of-pocket to rebalance your look!
  • In terms of cuts, senior rights will go you probably better than the high waisted, which may accentuate the width of your shoulders.

Downstairs, you can…

  • Do not hesitate to show your legs, which often will be a great asset!
  • Level skirts, you can all afford, but which fit you best are those that add volume: skirts to buckets, skaters, or balls.
  • All pants fit you too, they are slim, bootcut, flare, boyfriend, or cigarette, but I advise you the low waist!
  • Belting your size to your thin hips and legs forward.
  • Allow you splurged and add a frilly, with pleats, in short: everything that can give the volume around the hips.
  • If you like Burger, that’s good: below, you will be able to put what you want! Bright, printed colors, patterns, textured materials… have fun.

In summary, you who has a V-shape bodies, know that the best way to get value is to bet on the bottom of your silhouette, and keep it simple on the top.

Morphology in X (or “Hourglass”)

Do you have the waist, with shoulders and wider hips? The width of your hips and shoulders are roughly equivalent? You’re an X!

This figure is considered to be the most harmonious, because the width of the shoulders and hips are equal, and the size is marked. It is so easy to highlight! If you’re the happy holder of a silhouette in X, I have not much to advise you, because you can just put it all!

But at the top, you can…

  • Put tops, vests and jackets adjusted and/or sprung: since you marked size, so play it!You can also add on more floating ups belts.
  • Bet on jackets with shoulder pads.
  • The round necklines are those that fit you better, even if you can afford what you want low level!
  • The wrap is your friend.
  • If you’re small, I suggest you avoid the coats below the knee in the winter, which tasseront your silhouette. If you still love the long coats, trench which develop to the size highlight you very well!

Downstairs, you can…

  • Put what you like level pants: leggings, trousers, chinos, cigarettes, slim or skinny jeans…Whatever the length of your legs, everything you.
  • High sizes (skirts, pants or shorts) will be cuts that fit you best, does not hesitate to return your top in your pants / skirt high waist!
  • Pencil skirts, and all cuts near the body will also be your allies.
  • If you have generous curves, I advise you to choose a location for the bright colors or prints: up or down, not necessarily everywhere at once. But it depends on your taste!

Detaining a silhouette in X, I advise you mainly to always think about mark your size, no matter your curves (or your lack of curves), because she will be your main asset!

Morphology: (or “rectangle”)

Your size is not marked, but you have a rather smooth silhouette, hips and shoulders at the same level? Look no further, you’re a H!

You have a quite square silhouette, I advise you to “feminize” your silhouette in H.This can be done by choosing highlight one part of your body: your chest or hips, for example.

To highlight and feminize your silhouette, you can, at the top :

  • Try to underline and score a little more size, wearing, for example a slightly fitted jacket, or a high cache-heart.
  • Avoid, however, the belts on a top or jacket: it will attract the look on your priori size not very marked.
  • The senior long and tunics, on the other hand, you will be fine, because they accentuate the hips and give you a bit more curves.
  • Tailor jackets are those that fit you best.
  • Low level, if you have a small chest, I advise you the boat necklines.
  • Finally, the fluid material will be your allies!

Downstairs, you can…

  • Focus on low waist pencil skirts or pants pants size very high.
  • Put prints and bold colours upstairs as downstairs, but I advise you to focus them on down, to create volume and forms.
  • Show your legs, if you like to unveil them! You can wear short or long, straight or flared skirts; the only advice I have to tell you, is to choose rather low cut.
  • Fluid contents and not too close to the body will be your allies.

In short, if you’re a H, you don’t have a lot to banish. I just advise you to avoid too much to emphasize your size, and focus the attention elsewhere.

Morphology in I

You’re tiny, slender, your shoulders and your hips are aligned and your little marked size? Your morphology is I!

It is simply the version of morphology in H, but will still some specificities. Here are some tips to make this a little less androgynous silhouette.

In the top, you can…

  • Dare a lot of outfits, even though you will be better highlighted with a boat neck or a claudine neck, when a great cleavage weaker you.
  • Avoid too large volumes, especially if you’re very tiny: you’ll look like you drown!
  • Avoid too-men’s clothing, anyway if you want to get out of the androgynous style.
  • Put your chest out with the hidden heart, which will also mark your size (as for the morphology in H) gently.
  • Avoid suit jackets or long jackets.

Downstairs, you can…

  • Highlight your legs with jeans skinny jeans, or simply by showing them with skirts and shorts.
  • Speaking of skirt: your best friends are the ones that will bring volume to your morphology, like balls, skaters, flared skirts.
  • Upstairs as downstairs, glossy and textured materials will be a good way to feminize your silhouette, and to bring the scale if you’re petite.
  • Print level, patterns and other volumes, you can all afford upstairs as downstairs. And I even want to say: go, go!
  • Same for the colors, you can try everything, including the White!

The silhouette in O (or “round”)

Your silhouette in General is round, your hips and shoulders are broad enough and your chest is generous: you have a morphology in O.

Your figure is here proportional, but here are a few tips to balance it!

Upstairs, you can…

  • Highlight your chest!I advise you to prefer round necklines or square to the passes in V.
  • Choose rather fluid materials: stretch materials have a strange skin-tight effect that you necessarily will highlight.
  • Focus on straight cuts rather than Crusaders on the front (type wrap).
  • Choose blouses, long tops, tunics: all you’ll be fine!
  • Avoid mixing too many bright colors, or keep them one half of your body.
  • Focus on small print (such as the liberty) rather than fat, which may compress your silhouette.

Downstairs, you can…

  • For pants, focus on straight cuts or the bootcut at the slims.
  • Opt for dresses, if you like it!What’s best for morphologies in O. If you don’t want to amplify your silhouette, I however advise you to avoid big volume flows, like the frilly for example.
  • If you’re comfortable in heels, do you favor: it will highlight your legs and hips.
  • Avoid skirts balls, which are likely to blow you over. All other forms you will be fine!
  • Avoid down as up, horizontal stripes, if you don’t want to thicken your silhouette.
  • Large type print those 70s are not those that highlight you the best either.

For the O silhouette, my advice is balance, be it at the level of the volume, patterns or colors.
